The Turtle Bay outpost of AKA’s condo-style extended-stay residences is getting a revamp, and the company sent along renderings of the new interiors for the 21-story tower at 234 East 46th Street.
UPDATE: Per the developer, SLCE Architects is designing the building.
Earlier this year, YIMBY posted preliminary renderings for a new project coming to 131-141 East 47th Street, in Midtown East. Now, we have new images for the (approximately) 50-story building.
Last week, YIMBY revealed the exteriors for 1 Park Lane, which has an actual address of 36 Central Park South, the site of the current Helmsley Park Lane. While we speculated that Vinoly designed the building, we learned that Handel Architects was in fact behind the renderings; we have also obtained a new set of images which include that version of the project’s interiors and views, which will be very impressive.
Last December, YIMBY posted the first preliminary renderings for 281 Fifth Avenue, a 52-story condominium tower that will soon begin construction on the southeast corner of 30th Street and Fifth Avenue. Permits for the project were filed early last month, and now YIMBY has obtained the first actual rendering of the glassy building, which is being designed by Rafael Viñoly.
With a vote of 49 to zero, the City Council unanimously approved the application for a 63-story office tower at One Vanderbilt, as well as the rezoning for a five-block stretch of Vanderbilt Avenue between 42nd and 47th Streets.
