New renderings have been revealed for One Grand, a 28-story mixed-use building at 76 Varick Street in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by Taconic Investment Partners and Nuveen Real Estate, the 430,763-square-foot structure will yield offices, a public grade school, and retail space. Trinity Real Estate is the owner of the vacant lot, which is alternately addressed as Two Hudson Square and bound by Grand Street to the north, Canal Street to the south, Varick Street to the west, and Sullivan Street, Duarte Square, and Sixth Avenue to the east.

7 Platt Street Rises Above Street Level in Financial District, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 7 Platt Street, a 37-story mixed-use building in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Moinian Group, the 464-foot-tall structure will span 267,760 square feet and yield 250 rental apartments with interiors by Fogarty Finger, as well as 43,740 square feet of retail space on the first five stories and 34 below-grade parking spaces. Titanium Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 110 John Street and located on an interior lot bound by John Street to the north and Platt Street to the south.

New Renderings Revealed for KPF’s 520 Fifth Avenue Supertall in Midtown, Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for 520 Fifth Avenue, a 76-story residential supertall skyscraper under construction in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, which took over from Ceruzzi Properties and SMI USA in 2019, the 1,000-foot-tall structure will span 415,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units and commercial space on the ground floor and four cellar levels. WSP is the structural engineer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant, Charles & Co. is the interior designer, and Suffolk Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

Housing Lottery Launches for 39-04 29th Street in Long Island City, Queens

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Mozart Long Island City, a six-story mixed-use building at 39-04 29th Street in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Gerald Caliendo Architects and developed by Nestor Varela, the structure yields 20 residences, commercial space, and a parking garage. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $105,395 to $198,250.

Permits Filed for 31-16 21st Street in Astoria, Queens

Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 31-16 21st Street in Astoria, Queens. Located between 31st Road and 31st Avenue, the lot is near the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N train. Weitao Shi of Central Realty LIC LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Renderings Revealed for The Torch at 740 Eighth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

Renderings have been revealed for The Torch, a 1,067-foot mixed-use supertall skyscraper at 740 Eighth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by ODA with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Extell, the 52-story structure will span 875,372 square feet and yield an 825-room hotel on the lower half and a public outdoor observation deck with a drop ride attraction above. The property will also feature lower-level retail space, a restaurant on two of the upper floors, a VIP lounge, and a pool deck for hotel guests. Lendlease is the general contractor, WSP is the structural engineer, and Ancora Engineering is handling excavation and foundations for the project, which is located along Eighth Avenue between West 45th and 46th Streets on the border of Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen.

New Renderings Revealed For Wynn Resorts At Phase Two Of Hudson Yards

Wynn Resorts revealed a series of new renderings for its proposed casino and hotel location within phase two of Hudson Yards. Developed with Related Companies, the master plan, expected to cost $12 billion, consists of multiple skyscrapers that will additionally yield space for 1,500 apartments, two million square feet of office space, a public school, and a daycare center. The master plan is slated to rise directly west of the first phase of Hudson Yards over the 13-acre open-air Western Rail Yards bound by West 33rd Street to the north, West 30th Street to the south, Eleventh Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.

Foundations Underway at 1034-1042 Atlantic Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Foundation work is moving along at 1034-1042 Atlantic Avenue, the site of a 17-story residential building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Archimaera Architecture and developed by Elie Pariente of EMP Capital Group, the 175-foot-tall structure will span 172,789 square feet and yield 193 rental units with an average scope of 828 square feet, as well as 12,980 square feet of commercial space, a cellar level, a 62-foot-long rear yard, 20 enclosed parking spaces, and one loading berth. Countrywide Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Street and Classon and Grand Avenues.

953 Dean Street Tops Out in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Construction has topped out on 953 Dean Street, a nine-story residential building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by JFA Architects & Engineers and developed by Clipper Realty, the 95-foot-tall structure will span 164,763 square feet and yield 234 rental units with an average scope of 694 square feet, as well as 2,207 square feet of commercial space, a 42-foot-long rear yard, and 88 enclosed parking spaces. Twin Group Associates Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Pacific Street to the north, Dean Street to the south, and Classon Avenue to the west.

Encore Completes Construction at 325 Huguenot Street in New Rochelle, New York

Construction is complete on Encore, a 28-story residential building at 325 Huguenot Street in New Rochelle, New York. Designed by Lessard Design and developed by Cappelli Development Company, the structure yields 241 apartments in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as a collection of amenities, 26 municipal parking spaces in the podium, and 2,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The building is located at the corer of Huguenot Street and Centre Avenue, directly north of its sister property, 3THIRTY3, at 333 Huguenot Street.
