The affordable housing lottery has launched for 963 Atlantic Avenue, a nine-story mixed-use property in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects and developed by Efraim Weber as 86 Lefferts Corp, the structure yields 124 rental units, an amenity package, and two ground-floor retail spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 38 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $58,115 to $187,330.

Permits Filed for 5722 7th Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a nine-story mixed-use building at 5722 7th Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Located between 57th Street and 58th Street, the interior lot is near the 8th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N train. Wei Wang of Dyker and Brooklyn NY Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

LendLease Secures $4M NYSERDA Grant for 1 Java Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has awarded LendLease a $4 million grant to complete 1 Java Street, a high-rise residential complex in Greenpoint, Brooklyn that will debut as the largest residential project in New York State to use a geothermal heat exchange system.

Tiffany & Co. Flagship’s Renovation and Expansion Wraps Up at 727 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

Work is nearing completion on the renovation of the Tiffany & Co. flagship store, a ten-story commercial building at 727 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by OMA partners Shohei Shigematsu and Jake Forster with interiors by Peter Marino Architects, the project involved the construction of a new three-story volume above the parapet of the 83-year-old structure, as well as 8,400 square feet of interior renovations. CallisonRTKL is the architect of record, WSP is the structural and MEP engineer, Mace is the owners rep, and Structure Tone is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street along Billionaires’ Row.

Rendering Released for 68-Story Skyscraper at 100 West 37th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

A new rendering has been released for 100 West 37th Street, a planned 68-story mixed-use skyscraper in the Garment District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Sioni Group under the 989 Sixth Realty LLC, the 743-foot-tall structure will yield 384,118 square feet with 300 condominium units spread across 297,301 square feet, as well as 86,817 square feet of commercial space and two cellar levels. Northeast Specialist Group is currently serving as the demolition contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 989-993 Sixth Avenue and located at the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 37th Street.

Jacobs Group as the architect of record and developed by Paragon JV Properties III, the 235-foot-tall structure yields 276,578 square feet and 130 condominium units with an average scope of 1,660 square feet, as well as 9,080 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 96th Street.

Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Fetner Properties, the 235-foot-tall structure will yield 171 rental units with 68 dedicated to affordable housing, and 8,961 square feet of community facility space. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between West End Avenue and Broadway.
