BRP Companies has secured a $378 million financial package to complete 90Ninety, a new mixed-use community in Jamaica, Queens. Located at 166-20 90th Avenue, the property sits across the street from the Jamaica Bus Terminal and will eventually deliver 614 mixed-income rental units, 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and a 5,000-square-foot community space.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for Trio, a ten-story mixed-use building at 27-19 Thomson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Developed by Thomson Development, the structure yields 30 residences and 5,039 square feet of lower-level retail space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 11 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $88,835 to $187,330.
Renderings have been revealed for 50 Sussex Avenue, a 15-story building in Newark, New Jersey. Designed by 50 Sussex Avenue and developed by Tona Development, which won approvals to construct the project in 2021, the 150-foot-tall structure will yield 203 rental units and 2,000 square feet of commercial space. Available apartments will range from studio units up to two-bedroom floor plans.
Leasing launched this week for 30 Kent Street, a new waterfront mixed-use development in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Developed by BNS Real Estate and Wonder Works Construction with design by Kutnicki Bernstein Architects, the 11-story building yields 80 residences and two ground-floor retail spaces. Development Marketing Team is handling marketing for the mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom floorplans ranging from 400 to 1,100 square feet. Pricing starts at $3,200 per month, move-ins have already begun.
Construction is complete on 425 Grand Concourse, a 26-story mixed-use building in Mott Haven, The Bronx and one of the largest Passive House structures in the city. Designed by Dattner Architects and developed by Trinity Financial and MBD Community Housing Corporation, the 310,000-square-foot project yields 277 residential units, with 248 units for residents earning 30 to 130 percent of the area median income, as well as a supermarket, a community health center, a cultural center, and a 30,000-square-foot educational facility for CUNY’s Hostos Community College. Monadnock Construction served as the general contractor for the development, which is located between Grand Concourse to the east, East 144th Street to the south, Walton Avenue to the west, and Evelina Antonetty Playground and Hostos Community College to the immediate north.
