Developer LCOR has closed on a $94 million loan to complete a 28-story residential tower in New Rochelle, New York. The property is located at 247 North Avenue and is on track to debut as one of the largest buildings to incorporate a geothermal system for heating and cooling interior spaces.
Construction has broken ground at 33 Westchester Place, a 27-story rental tower in downtown New Rochelle. When complete, the building will add another 315 apartments to Westchester Place, a three-tower complex developed by Allstate Ventures.
The City of New Rochelle has selected FXCollaborative to redesign its historic train station and the surrounding transit center. The goal of the project is to improve walkability and pedestrian flow, bicycle access, and aesthetic upgrades.
Wilder Balter, LXMD, and The City of New Rochelle have completed a $4 million revival of Anderson Plaza, an open-air space for pedestrians in downtown New Rochelle. Located along Anderson Street between North Avenue and LeCount Place, the plaza will support a diverse mix of seasonal programming, from farmers markets and pop-up events to festivals and live performances.
BRP Companies has completed and opened a new 172-unit rental building at 10 Commerce Drive in New Rochelle. Known as Motif, the property contains a mix of 53 studios, 64 one-bedrooms, and 55 two-bedroom units. Amenity spaces include a fitness center, a resident lounge and co-working space, a landscaped courtyard with barbecue grills, an arcade room, a dog wash station, and on-site parking for 157 vehicles.
