The Landmarks Preservation Commission has again rejected proposals to construct a new three-story townhouse at 56 Middaugh Street in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Pratt + Black Architects, the three-story townhouse would redevelop a partially vacant lot that is sandwiched between an existing single-story garage and another three-story, albeit shorter, single-family townhouse.

Newmark has revealed a new collection of architectural renderings that illustrate the next phase of upgrades to The Paramount Building at 1501 Broadway in Times Square. In collaboration with Rosemark Management, Levin Management, and interior architects MKDA, the upgrades include Class A office suites ranging in size from 1,000 square feet up to 45,000 square feet, new corridors, and sweeping views of the New York City skyline.

53 Pearl Street Awaits Renovation and Expansion Work in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Work has yet to commence at 53 Pearl Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn, where BKSK Architects has designed a multi-story rooftop expansion for the landmarked 140-year-old Italianate-style building. Located between Plymouth Street and Water Street, almost directly to the east of the Manhattan Bridge, the structure was once a factory for the Masury Paint Company and was transformed into rental apartments several years ago.
