Jamaica-based Gabrielli Truck Sales Ltd. has filed applications for a two-story, 75,410-square-foot dealership at 181-25 Eastern Road, located on the northern edge of John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens’s Springfield Gardens neighborhood. The facility will feature an automobile repair shop, storage space, offices on the ground and second floors, and off-street parking for 165 vehicles. Frank S. Smith’s Melville, N.Y.-based H2M Architects + Engineers is the architect of record. The 22,946-square-foot plot of land is vacant.

Construction has quietly topped out on the 14-story, 89-unit mixed-use affordable housing building under development at 92-61 165th Street, located on the corner of Archer Avenue in downtown Jamaica. A rendering of the project has also been spotted on the construction fence. The latest building permits indicate the structure measures 93,041 square feet and rises 132 feet above street level to its roof.

An anonymous Flushing-based LLC has filed applications for two four-story, seven-unit residential buildings at 49-08 and 49-10 111th Street, in Corona. The buildings will measure 7,053 square feet and 6,450 square feet, respectively. Across both buildings, the residential units should average 739 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Some of the apartments will be duplexes. Ling Li’s Flushing-based firm Li Architect Associate is the architect of record. The 50-foot-wide, 5,000-square-foot assemblage consists of two- and three-story residential buildings. Demolition permits have not been filed. The 111th Street stop on the 7 train is nine blocks north.

Revealed: 15-Story, 338-Key Dual-Brand Hotel Under Construction At 148-18 Archer Avenue, Jamaica

A 15-story, 338-key hotel is quietly rising above street level at 148-18 Archer Avenue, in downtown Jamaica, and a rendering of the project has been spotted on the construction fence. The latest building permits indicate the project will eventually encompass 202,314 square feet and rise 170 feet above street level to its roof. It will be home to a 224-key Courtyard Inn on the second through 10th floors and a 114-key Fairfield Inn and Suites on the 11th through 15th floors. Guest amenities will be located on the ground and cellar levels. An anonymous Flushing-based LLC is the developer and Raymond Chan’s Flushing-based firm is behind the architecture. Completion is slated for early 2019.
