Two-Tower Development Taking Shape at 267 Bond and 498 Sackett Streets in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Foundation work is wrapping up on Society Brooklyn and Sackett Place, a pair of 21-story residential buildings at 267 Bond Street and 498 Sackett Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Property Markets Group, which acquired both plots for $9 million in 2021, the complex will yield a combined 594,000 square feet with 517 residential units and 52,000 square feet of commercial space. The development is proceeding with $18.5 million in financing from Maxim Capital Group. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the project, which is bound by DeGraw Street to the north, Sackett Street to the south, the Gowanus Canal to the east, and Bond Street to the west.

300 East 83rd Street’s Superstructure Rises on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is rising on 300 East 83rd Street, a 22-story residential building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Lalezarian Group, the 235-foot-tall structure will yield 84,266 square feet with 70 residential units, as well as cellar and ground-floor retail space. The homes will average 1,203 square feet, likely indicating condominiums. Hudson 37 LLC is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of East 83rd Street and Second Avenue.

250 East 83rd Street Passes the Halfway Mark on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction has passed the halfway mark on 250 East 83rd Street, a 31-story residential building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure will yield 128 residential units with interiors by Lemay_id, as well as ground-floor retail space. Cauldwell Wingate Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 83rd Street.

American Lions, a joint venture between Fetner Properties and the NY Lions Group, has secured $350 million in construction financing to complete a 49-story residential skyscraper at 26-32 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects, the project will comprise 283,000 square feet of residential space and 10,000 square feet of retail space.

262 Fifth Avenue Quickly Rises Over NoMad, Manhattan

Construction is quickly taking shape on 262 Fifth Avenue, a 54-story residential skyscraper in NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project LLC, the 860-foot-tall structure will yield 41 condominium units. GEA Consulting Engineers are the MEP engineer of record, and CM & Associates Construction Management is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

15 West 96th Street’s Stone Façade Nears Completion on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Façade installation is nearing completion at 15 West 96th Street, a 22-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Sackman Enterprises, the 312-foot-tall structure will yield 17 condominium units. Cavan Builders Corporation is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Central Park West and Amsterdam Avenue.

Excavation at 740 Eighth Avenue Progresses Further Below Street Level in Midtown, Manhattan

Excavation is progressing at 740 Eighth Avenue, the site of a 52-story supertall hotel and observation tower in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by ODA with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Extell, the 1,067-foot-tall skyscraper will yield 776,000 square feet with 825 hotel rooms in its lower half and a public observatory with a drop ride attraction above. The unconventionally-shaped structure will also contain retail space, two upper restaurant floors, and a pool deck for guests. Lendlease is the general contractor, WSP is the structural engineer, and Ancora Engineering is handling excavation and foundations for the property, which is located on an expansive lot along Eighth Avenue between West 45th and 46th Streets on the border of Times Square and Hell’s Kitchen.

Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Fetner Properties and Lions Group, the 151,000-square-foot structure will yield 164 rental units with one-third reserved for affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail space and approximately 90 parking spaces on the first three levels. Lions Group II, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Jackson and 43rd Avenues.

Exterior work is getting closer to completion on Claremont Hall, a 41-story residential tower at 100 Claremont Avenue in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and SLCE Architects and developed by Lendlease, Daiwa House Texas, and LMXD, an affiliate of L+M Development Partners, the 354,000-square-foot building will yield 165 condominium units in one- to four-bedroom layouts as well as new classrooms, office space, and faculty housing for Union Theological Seminary. Lendlease is the general contractor for the property, which is located by the corner of Claremont Avenue and West 122nd Street.
