Construction is rising on the third phase of Provost Square, a 33-story residential tower at 151 Bay Street in Jersey City‘s Powerhouse Arts District. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Toll Brothers, the structure will yield 259 residential units, 6,289 square feet of retail space, and a parking garage with 218 spaces. Twelve units will be designated as live-work units, with one for an artist in residence. CWG Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Provost Street and Bay Street.

The Hard Rock Hotel at 159 West 48th Street is the newest hotel to open in Midtown, Manhattan’s iconic Times Square district. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Extell and Hard Rock International, the 442-foot-tall, 291,000-square-foot structure features 446 rooms and welcomed its first guests earlier this week. The rectangular reinforced concrete edifice is located by the corner of West 48th Street and Seventh Avenue and was built by AECOM Tishman. Rooms start at $475 per night.

Demolition is progressing at 98 DeKalb Avenue, the site of a 49-story residential skyscraper in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Rockrose Development, the 612-foot-tall tower will yield 418,092 square feet with 609 residential units and 3,775 square feet of commercial space. PAL Environmental Services is the general contractor for the project, which is alternatively addressed as 180 Ashland Place and is located at the corner of DeKalb Avenue and Ashland Place, across the street from The Brooklyn Hospital Center and a short walk from Downtown Brooklyn.

Occupancy has begun at One Boerum Place, a 22-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Avery Hall InvestmentsAllegra Holdings, and Aria Development Group, the $250 million project yields 96 market-rate rentals designed by Gachot Studios in one- to four-bedroom layouts, as well as a range of indoor and outdoor amenities. Leeding Builders Group served as the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Boerum Place to the west, Fulton Street to the north, and Red Hook Lane to the east.
