The affordable housing lottery has launched for 595 Dean Street, a two-tower mixed-use development part of Pacific Park in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by TF Cornerstone, the structure yields with 558 market-rate apartments, 240 affordable housing units, a 60,000-square-foot public plaza, and 3,412 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 240 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $78,515 to $187,330.

Three-Tower Development at 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive Rises Above Hunters Point, Queens

Construction is rising on 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive, a three-tower development in the Hunters Point South master plan in Hunters Point, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by TF Cornerstone, the project consists of a 34-story, 390-foot-tall structure that will yield 575 units at 2-20 Malt Drive and a two-tower design at 2-21 Malt Dive composed of a 38-story, 440-foot-tall high-rise and a 25-story, 310-foot-tall building. A final unit count for 2-21 Malt Drive has yet to be announced. Bud North LLC and Bud South LLC are the general contractors for 2-21 and 2-20 Malt Drive, respectively, which will rise from a subdivided plot bound by 54th Avenue to the north, Newton Creek to the south, and 2nd Street to the west.

New Rendering Released for Project Commodore Supertall at 175 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan

An updated rendering has been released for Project Commodore, an approved 85-story supertall skyscraper at 175 Park Avenue in Midtown East. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by RXR Realty and TF Cornerstone, the 1,575-foot-tall mixed-use tower will replace the Hyatt Grand Central New York hotel and yield 2.1 million square feet of Class A office space, 500 Hyatt hotel rooms spread across 453,000 square feet on the upper floors, and 10,000 square feet of retail space on the ground, cellar, and second levels. The development will also include a 25,000-square-foot elevated public plaza surrounding the tower and abutting the adjacent Grand Central Terminal. If built to its current scope, Project Commodore will also wrest the title of tallest building in the western hemisphere by roof height from Central Park Tower. AECOM Tishman is going to be the general contractor and RWDI Inc. is the structural engineer.
