Construction on 50 West 66th Street is moving along, and work has reached street level for the Upper West Side‘s future tallest building. Recent photos show a dense network of rebar laid out for the ground-floor slab, and bundled vertically for the construction of reinforced columns. The 775-foot-tall residential tower is being designed by Snohetta and developed by Extell.

New York City’s Board of Standards and Appeals again upheld the development and construction of 200 Amsterdam Avenue despite years of pushback from both neighborhood groups and members of the State Supreme Court. YIMBY went on a hard hat tour of Dahlia, a new 20-story condominium on the Upper West Side at 212 West 95th Street. The topped-out structure, which is located on the southeast corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 95th Street, is designed by CetraRuddy with RKTB Architects as the architect of record and JRM as the construction manager. United Management worked in conjunction with Certes Partners to develop the the property. The building contains 38 residences, which range from two- to four-bedroom layouts and include two penthouses and six select homes with private outdoor spaces. Reuveni Real Estate is the exclusive sales and marketing agent for the development.

DOB Approves Permits for Synagogue-Condo Development on the Upper West Side

Developers Landsea Homes and Leyton Properties will soon begin construction on a contentious synagogue-condominium development on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Designed by Eran Chen of ODA New York, the 14-story project will be located at 212 West 93rd Street. When complete the structure will contain a new worship space for the Shaare Zedek congregation at the building’s lower levels with high-end condos positioned above.

Permits Filed for 2330 Broadway on the Upper West Side, Manhattan

Permits have been filed for an 18-story senior living facility at 2330 Broadway on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. Located between West 84th Street and West 85th Street, the interior lot is one block south of the 86th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. As previously reported by YIMBY, the site is under development by Welltower, Inc. and is the second senior living property in New York City for the global health provider. Real estate investment firm Hines is also a co-developer.
