BNYDC Reveals a Request for Proposals to Redevelop Industrial Properties at Brooklyn Navy Yard
The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is seeking design and development partners to advance the transformation of its sprawling industrial complex. A request for proposals was circulated earlier this month and calls for initial conceptual designs for industrial and commercial properties at the waterfront convergence of Kent, Washington, and Railroad Avenues, near the northeastern edge of Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Gilbane Development Company, Hudson Companies, and MHANY Management have secured $297 million to complete phase two of The Peninsula, a mixed-use, 100-percent affordable housing complex in Hunts Point, The Bronx. The five-building master plan is being designed by WXY Architecture + Urban Design and Body Lawson Associates, Architects & Planners and will be delivered in three phases.
Developers Secure $44.7M to Complete Infrastructure Improvement Project in Arverne, Queens
L+M Development Partners, Bluestone Organization, and Triangle Equities have closed on $44.66 million in financing to complete a major infrastructure improvement project in Arverne, Queens, a small coastal neighborhood on the Rockaway Peninsula. The financing will cover the reconstruction of Edgemere Avenue between Beach 32nd and Beach 38th Streets, critical infrastructure improvements to the surrounding neighborhood, and the completion of Arverne East, a 1,650-unit master-planned community.

Developers and elected officials recently joined to celebrate the completion of Peninsula 1B, the first affordable housing building in The Peninsula complex at 720 Tiffany Street in Hunts Point, The Bronx. The building comprises 183 income-restricted units and a modest collection of amenities.
