Hessel, the structures yield a total of 16 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $62,572 to $139,620.

Developers Celebrate Ribbon Cutting for Affordable Housing at Dr. Joan O. Dawson Plaza in Harlem, Manhattan

This week, developers and city officials celebrated the official opening of Camber Property Group‘s new affordable senior housing development in Harlem. The Dr. Joan O. Dawson Plaza, formerly known as Victory Plaza, is a 100-percent affordable complex with 136 units developed by Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement (HCCI) in partnership with Camber. The building was renamed in honor of Dr. Joan O. Dawson, the longtime chair of the Board of Directors at HCCI. Although residents began moving into the development in February, the official ribbon cutting was delayed until now.

Occupancy Imminent for Muller Residences at 555 Nereid Avenue in Wakefield, The Bronx

The Doe Fund has received Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for Muller Residences, a four-story affordable and supportive housing development for veterans. Located at 555 Nereid Avenue in The Bronx’s Wakefield neighborhood, the 51,000-square-foot building brings 90 units of affordable and supportive housing to the local community, with 54 residences allocated for formerly homeless military veterans. MHG Architects is responsible for the design.
