Developers behind a new eight-story affordable housing building in Yonkers recently secured more than $7.85 million in construction financing to complete the project. Known as 178 Warburton at The Ridgeway, the development will contain 81 mixed-income rental apartments for households between 30 percent and 90 percent of the area median income.
The affordable housing lottery is now open for Roosevelt Parc, a 15-story mixed-use development at 37-46 72nd Street in Jackson Heights, Queens. Developed by partners Werber Real Estate and Socius Development Group and designed by Marvel Architects, the building yields a total 154 units in a mix of studios, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 34 apartments for residents at 130 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $38,435 to $183,300.
The housing lottery is now open for 834 Pacific Street, a six-story mixed-use development in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Developed by Happy Living Development and designed by Issac & Stern Architects, the building yields a total 84 rentals in a mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are the 34 apartments for residents at 130 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $65,143 to $183,300.
A private developer has revealed proposals to construct a large through-block property with a mix of residential and industrial manufacturing area in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Referred to as the Suydam Enlargement Site, the proposed development comprises two interconnected buildings at 1250 Willoughby Avenue and 349 Suydam Street.
Construction has officially broken ground at 1159 River Avenue, a new 245-unit affordable housing project in the Concourse section of the South Bronx. Designed by Urban Quotient, the 19-story building will comprise 240,000 square feet. In addition to income-restricted and supportive housing, the structure will contain residential amenity spaces and a new ground-floor supermarket.
