Coney Island has been slow to recover from the damage inflicted by Hurricane Sandy, but construction is finally starting to pick up, from a 40-story tower planned at Trump Village to a new hotel on Stillwell Avenue. Today’s new development is an eight-story building with commercial and community space at 2885 West 15th Street, at the corner of Mermaid Avenue.
Hen Hawk NY LLC has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building measuring 5,340 square feet at 522 Evergreen Avenue, in central Bushwick. Suresh Manchanda is designing, and an existing two-story structure must first be demolished.

And now, we have obtained official renderings created by the architect, depicting Midtown (and potentially, the Western Hemisphere’s) future tallest tower.
A single-story brick building that was once a church has been demolished at 142 Manhattan Avenue in Williamsburg, and this four-story development with dark brick will rise in its place. YIMBY noticed the rendering on the fence at the empty lot, which sits mid-block on Manhattan between Meserole Street and Montrose Avenue.
