The site is also just an avenue away from Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and close to the Queens Zoo, New York Hall of Science, and the Queens Museum. JX Property LLC is behind the applications.

Chelsea has long been a center of creativity in Manhattan. Recent developments have been strongly inspired by that history. Many of the city’s most notable projects with distinctive architecture style have popped along the new High Line Park, including the Frank Gehry-design IAC Building, and Zaha Hadid’s 520 West 28^th Street. The neighborhood’s latest impending icon is 76 Eleventh Avenue, a pair of twisting mixed-use towers under development by HFZ Capital. Construction is moving quickly for all components, and thanks to photos by Tectonic, we can see the latest progress.

Today, YIMBY can reveal the first rendering for 61 Troutman Street, a four-story residential building coming up to Bushwick, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Myrtle Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Moshe Friedman will be responsible for the development.

Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 838 Monroe Street, in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn. The site is just a few doors down from 832 Monroe Street, who filed permits earlier this week. The site is two blocks away from the Gates Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Meadowland Group Business is behind the applications.

Permits have been filed for two six-story buildings at 3254 and 3258 Parkside Place, in the Norwood neighborhood of The Bronx. The site is four blocks away from the Williams Bridge train station, serviced by Metro North. Six blocks away is the 205^th Street subway station, serviced by the D trains. The project will also be nearby the notable Woodlawn Cemetery, an expansive collection of some of the most ornate mausoleums and tombstones in the city. UA Builders Group will be responsible for the development.

New Design Revealed for Durst’s Queens Plaza Park Tower, Borough’s Future Tallest Skyscraper

A new look is out for the residential building rising up next to the historic Long Island City Clock Tower. The development, rising at 29-37 41^st Avenue, is expected to have the distinction as the Borough’s tallest building, bringing with it a new retail center, plenty of tenant amenities, and half an acre of public park space at its base. The building is located just a block away from the Queens Plaza subway station, an intersection with the E, M, and R trains. The 7, N, and W trains can be accessed two blocks away. The project is positioned to become a focal point of Queens’ rising downtown district in Long Island City, and the Durst Organization is responsible for development.

Eight blocks further is the major commercial thoroughfare Flatbush Avenue, and seven blocks beyond that is the expansive Prospect Park. Erasmus Residence LLC is responsible for the development.

Another day, another building set to pop up in Brooklyn’s hippest neighborhood. Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use structure at 340 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site, comes five blocks away from the Metropolitan Avenue subway station, serviced by the G and L trains. This, of course, comes as part of the wave of new development in one of Brooklyn’s most notable neighborhoods. The project would be a door away from a recently built fire station for the FDNY designed by Michielli + Wyetzner Architects. Mortar Architecture + Development will be responsible for both developing and designing.
