Property owner Esther Hoffman has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential building at 1071 57th Street, in western Borough Park, four blocks from the D train’s 55th Street stop. The building will measure 7,020 square feet in total, which means units will average a spacious 2,340 square feet, indicative of condos. Midwood-based Asher Hershkowitz is the architect of record, and the existing home — which sold for $1,125,000 in March — must first be demolished.

Located five blocks south of the Franklin Avenue station on the A/C lines, the building will measure 10,846 square feet, which works out to units averaging a rental-sized 680 square feet. Asher Hershkowitz is the architect of record.


1260 43rd Street

Four-Family Residential Project Planned for 43rd Street in Borough Park

Property owner Naftali Steinmetz has filed new applications for a four-story, four-unit residential building, previously filed in 2013, for the currently vacant lot at 1260 43rd Street, in Borough Park. The building will measure 5,505 square feet, and Asher Hershkowitz is designing. The site’s three-story predecessor had been demolished in early 2014.
