The New York City Department of Buildings recently approved applications to construct a new 30-story mixed-use property at 3875 Ninth Avenue in Manhattan. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Azimuth Development Group, the structure yields 312,880 square feet for 326 residences, amenities, parking, ground-floor retail, and space for the Bronx Pentecostal Deliverance center. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 283 units for residents at 30 to 100 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $15,052 to $148,000.
This week, developers and city officials celebrated the official opening of Camber Property Group‘s new affordable senior housing development in Harlem. The Dr. Joan O. Dawson Plaza, formerly known as Victory Plaza, is a 100-percent affordable complex with 136 units developed by Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement (HCCI) in partnership with Camber. The building was renamed in honor of Dr. Joan O. Dawson, the longtime chair of the Board of Directors at HCCI. Although residents began moving into the development in February, the official ribbon cutting was delayed until now.
