Renderings are out for 649 Grand Street, a six-story mixed-use building coming to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site is six blocks away from the Lorimer Street Subway Station, serviced by the L trains. It will be on a busy street in the neighborhood, with several bars and restaurants nearby. Two Kings Company is responsible for development.
Renderings have been revealed for the four-story 836 Monroe Street development in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The new design has a classical touch, with a fluted pilaster in the center of the façade. Other notable elements are the framed faux-balconies, and light design. Joshua Felix of Beam Group is responsible for the facade.
An existing structure at 679 East 21st Street, in Brooklyn’s Flatbush neighborhood, is about to bite the dust for a new six-story development. Permits filed with the Department of Buildings show that the replacement will total 10,645 square feet, to be divided between 17 apartments, with the average unit size of 626 square feet indicative of rentals. The building will also include a penthouse level. Boaz Golani’s Beam Group is designing the project, and Pena Jovanny of Kendy Construction Corp is listed as the site’s developer.
In early 2015, YIMBY reported on the first filings for a new development at 223 Manhattan Avenue, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Those filings were updated under the site’s new owner in August of 2016, and now, we have the reveal for the building, which is being designed by Joshua Felix of BEAM Group.
