OMA’s Cantilevered Towers Break Ground At Greenpoint Landing in North Brooklyn

Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group have officially broken ground on the most anticipated phase of the Greenpoint Landing mega-development on the shores of northern Brooklyn. Designed by Jason Long of OMA, the new component is comprised of two residential towers and a vast extension of an existing public esplanade. The western tower features a series of cantilevers that reach outward in step with setbacks on the eastern edifice, giving the development a look reminiscent of a game of Tetris.

The development team behind 14 LeCount Place in New Rochelle has successfully lined up $190 million in construction financing to complete the mixed-use development. Located in the heart of downtown New Rochelle, the 457,000-square-foot project will eventually yield 380 residential units, 6,000 square feet of retail space, a parking garage, and amenity areas.

New Renderings Revealed for 200 Montague Street As Revised Plan Heads Back to LPC, in Borough Hall

New York City-based architecture firm Beyer Blinder Belle has returned to the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission with revised proposals to construct a new high-rise development within Brooklyn’s Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District. The building was formerly referred to as 192 Montague Street, but has been presented to the commission on the second try as 200 Montague Street.
