125 Greenwich Street’s Final Curtainwall Panels Await Installation in the Financial District

Exterior work is getting close to completion at 125 Greenwich Street, the tallest residential skyscraper currently under construction in the Financial District. The 912-foot-tall, 88-story structure is designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Bizzi & Partners and Vector Group. Douglas Elliman is leading the sales and marketing for the building’s 273 residential units, which feature interiors designed by March & White. Plaza Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Greenwich Street and Thames Street.

Work is almost entirely complete on the reflective curtain wall of 125 Greenwich Street, number 14 in our countdown of the tallest projects under construction in New York City. The only sections awaiting façade work are the podium and the portion where the exterior hoist is still mounted. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Bizzi & Partners and Vector Group, the slender 88-story residential skyscraper stands 912 feet tall over the Financial District. The 273 residential units are being marketed by Douglas Elliman, while the interiors are designed by March & White. Renzo Piano’s 565 Broome Soho Receiving Finishing Touches As Exterior Work Now Fully Complete

The tallest residential building in SoHo, at 565 Broome Street, is rapidly heading for full completion. The two-towered structure is Pritzker Prize-winning Renzo Piano Building Workshop’s first residential project in New York City. Bizzi & Partners Development, Aronov Development and Halpern Real Estate Ventures are the developers. The building is comprised of 115 one- to four-bedroom condominiums, with interiors designed by Parisian firm Rena Dumas Architecture Interieure (RDAI). Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling the sales and marketing.

Façade work is nearing completion at 125 Greenwich Street. Installation of the thin glass panels on the podium of the slender 88-story residential skyscraper is underway. This is the final portion of the curtain wall awaiting completion, apart from the sections behind the construction hoist, which should be disassembled soon. Viñoly-Designed 125 Greenwich Street Begins Rapid Climb Towards 912-Foot Pinnacle, Financial District

Earlier this week, Tectonic sent YIMBY the latest photos of progress at 111 Murray Street, where glass has now reached the tower’s crown. But as construction wraps on one skyscraper, it is accelerating rapidly at another to the southeast, at 125 Greenwich Street, where formwork is now climbing at over one floor per week. The Rafael Viñoly-designed building will eventually stand 72 floors and 912 feet to its rooftop.
