Block 675’s Mixed-Use Skyscrapers Fully Unveiled Adjacent to Hudson Yards

Just south of the still-exposed train yard that gave the Hudson Yards neighborhood its name, progress is being made on another two new mixed-use skyscrapers. While teasers have been shown before, the first full renderings are now out for the towers planned at Block 675. Douglaston Development will be responsible for 601 West 29th Street, and Lalezarian Properties is behind 606 West 30th Street.

New Details For 62-Story Multi-Tower Block 675 Redevelopment, Hudson Yards

Back in June, YIMBY reported on progress for the Block 675 Redevelopment, just to the southwest of Related’s Hudson Yards supertalls. The site sits on the corner of 30th Street and 11th Avenue, and there, Douglaston Development and Lalezarian Properties want to use air rights transferred from Chelsea Piers via the Special Hudson River Park District to build over 1,200 apartments. Now, we have some fresh renderings, a clearer look at Tower B, and the latest figures for the still-growing proposal, which consists of two towers being designed by FXFOWLE and Ismael Leyva Architects.

First Look At Block 675 Redevelopment in Hudson Yards, 601 West 29th Street and 606 West 30th Street

Hudson Yards is making major progress, with Related’s core redevelopment over the Eastern Yards now racing towards completion. While progress on the Western Yards is still a few years away, another large site on the southern side of West 30th Street is set for an impressive transformation from under-used retail and industrial buildings into a two-towered residential and commercial project that will top-out 700 feet above street level.
