Greenpoint Landing’s Next Phase Revealed as OMA Selected For Design Of Two Skycrapers

Partners Brookfield Properties and Park Tower Group have announced the next large phase of development at Greenpoint Landing. The centerpiece will be two residential towers designed by OMA. One acre of public waterfront space designed by James Corner Field Operations will surround the mixed-income housing which will also include another new seven-story building. Thirty percent of the 745 units will be affordable housing. This project will also result in further expansion of Greenpoint’s waterfront esplanade. Marmol Radziner is the interior designer while Beyer Blinder Belle is the executive architect and interior designer.

Brookfield’s $2 Billion Two Manhattan West Will Rise Without Anchor Tenant As One Manhattan West Nears Finish Line, in Midtown West

Brookfield is officially set to construct Two Manhattan West without an anchor tenant. The near-supertall tower will be the second-tallest skyscraper in the Manhattan West complex, comprising two million square feet of space, rising 935 feet to its rooftop, and enclosing 62 floors of office space, all at a cost of approximately $2 billion. Meanwhile, work on One Manhattan West is wrapping up, with the facade closing in on completion along the upper floors, while the construction crane is now coming down on the northern elevation.

Brookfield Files Permits for 31-Story Tower at 1 Bell Slip in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Applications for a new 31-story residential building at 1 Bell Slip in Greenpoint, Brooklyn were filed this week. Located at the north end of Greenpoint, the proposed tower is bordered by Newtown Creek on one end and Commercial Street on the other. The closest subway station, Greenpoint Avenue, is half a mile south on Manhattan Avenue, and is serviced by the G train. Brookfield is listed as the owner behind the applications. This is one of four residential components Brookfield is developing with partner Park Tower Group at Greenpoint Landing, a 22-acre master-planned development site on the Brooklyn waterfront that includes 1 Blue Slip.
