Today’s housing lottery round-up features three buildings in Brooklyn’s Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, and Downtown Brooklyn neighborhoods with available affordable units on Housing Connect with deadlines closing within the next seven days.
Façade installation is continuing to progress on 227 West Street, a pair of 30- and 40-story residential towers with complementary stepped cantilevers and setbacks in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by OMA with Beyer Blinder Belle as the architect of record and developed by both Brookfield Property Partners and Park Tower Group, the mixed-use project is part of the 22-acre Greenpoint Landing development along the East River. James Corner Field Operations is the landscape architect, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, Thornton Tomasetti is the façade consultant, and Highbury Concrete is responsible for building the 450- and 351-foot tall reinforced concrete edifices, which are rising right off the corner of Eagle and West Streets.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 38 Stratford Road, a five-story residential building in Prospect Park South, Brooklyn. Designed by Tecnico Engineering, the structure yields 17,188 square feet and 14 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are five units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $63,429 to $167,570.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 65 Woodbine Street, a four-story residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Diego Aguilera Architects, the new construction property yields 5,332 square feet and eight residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $66,000 to $139,620.
Construction is rising on Calyer Place, a nearly 1 million-square-foot waterfront residential development in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Cooper Robertson & Partners with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by M&H Realty LLC, the project consists of a pair of 40-story towers along with 32- and 22-story siblings, and will yield 700,000 square feet of residential space with 700 apartments, 10,000 square feet of commercial space, 7,160 square feet for unspecified community facility use, and over 600 parking spaces. The site was once home to the historic Greenpoint Terminal Market, which suffered a ten-alarm fire and was demolished in 2017.
