New renderings from Issac & Stern Architects reveal a seven-story condominium development currently under construction at 429 Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. From local developer Benjamin Pinover of Dragonfly Design Build LLC, the building will yield 40 units ranging from studios to two-bedrooms.
The housing lottery closes in four days for The Cove, an 18-story residential development at 43-12 Hunter Street in Long Island City, Queens. Developed by Rockrose Development and designed by SLCE Architects with interiors by Slade Architecture, the building has 37 apartments available on NYC Housing Connect at 130 percent of the area median income, ranging from $68,229 to $159,640.
VonDalwig Architecture has successfully petitioned the Landmarks Preservation Commission to permit the construction of a single-story penthouse expansion at 405 Vanderbilt Avenue in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Following feedback from the commissioners in the fall, the design team reduced the peak height of the volume’s sloped roof by almost two feet, selected a lighter-colored zinc façade, and raised the existing parapet and chimneys by three rows of brick.
A former post office in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn will soon be replaced by an 11-story condominium building designed by Issac & Stern Architects. Located on a through-block property at 542 Atlantic Avenue, the new structure will span 90,000 square feet with 43 condominiums and two four-story townhouses.

Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS, the 73-story Downtown Brooklyn residential skyscraper will become the first New York City supertall outside of Manhattan and will yield 425 rental apartments and 150 condominiums.
