Last week Camber Property Group and Westhab announced the topping out of 913 East Tremont Avenue, a 100-percent affordable rental development in The Bronx’s West Farms neighborhood. Components of the 11-story, 98,846-square-foot development include 119 housing units and 6,500 square feet of commercial space. The building is designed by Aufgang Architects and is being constructed by SD Builders.
Proposals from Camber Property Group reveal a massive expansion of Stevenson Commons, a mixed-income residential complex in the Soundview section of The Bronx. If approved by New York City’s Department of City Planning, the expansion will establish six new buildings with a sizable portion of residences reserved for senior demographics.
Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 1978 Valentine Avenue in the Mount Hope section of the West Bronx. Located between East 178th Street and East 180th Street, the through lot is also addressed as 2000 Valentine Avenue. The site is less than a ten-minute walk east of the Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Bronx Haven LLC under the Camber Property Group is listed as the owner behind the applications. In January 2020, Camber acquired 2000 Valentine Avenue as part of an eight-building portfolio that contains 1,275 affordable units in the Mitchell-Lama program.
Earlier this week, Camber Property Group launched a housing lottery for 94 newly constructed homes within Victory Plaza. Located at 11 West 118th Street in Central Harlem, the entire building comprises 136 affordable mixed-income units.
Affordable and supportive housing developer Camper Property Group‘s latest project for low-income households and the formerly homeless is set to break ground at 913 East Tremont Avenue in West Farms, The Bronx. The estimated construction cost for the project is approximately $50 million, which is funded in part through tax-exempt bond financing, as of right tax credit equity provided by Wells Fargo, and public subsidies from the New York State Housing Finance Agency and New York State Homes and Community Renewal.
