An extensive renovation of the historic ‘Lever House’ in Midtown East officially kicked off this week. Valued at $100 million, the project aims to transform and modernize the commercial property into a boutique office tower, while also restoring areas of the building that have not withstood the tests of time.
Two Manhattan West, a 58-story commercial tower, has officially topped out in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the 935-foot-tall, 2-million-square-foot skyscraper is the final component in Brookfield Properties’ five-building Manhattan West complex, and stands directly to the south of its 996-foot-tall fraternal twin, One Manhattan West.
The first rendering has been released for 24-01 Queens Plaza North, a 19-story residential tower in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by ODA New York and developed by New Empire Corporation, the building will house more than 100 condominium units ranging from studios up to two-bedrooms. The amenity offerings will include a penthouse resident lounge, communal outdoor spaces, on-site parking, and a fitness center. The lower levels of the building will also house an unspecified commercial volume.
Lionsgate Studios has officially opened a 500,000-square-foot film and television production studio in downtown Yonkers. The property is located on the shores of the Hudson River and is the latest component of an expanding production campus that will soon be the largest of its kind in the Northeast region.
ABS Partners Real Estate has completed a $50 million renovation of LX57, a 20-story office tower at 695 Lexington Avenue in Sutton Place, Manhattan. Led by Gensler‘s design studio, the project entailed a full restoration on the building’s façade, modernization of the commercial lobby, new signage at the ground floor, window upgrades, LED lighting, and contemporary pre-built office suites. The property is located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and 57th Street.
