The updates arrive as an attempt to strengthen the dialogue between the religious structure and the proposed residential building.
Permits have been filed for a 12-story community facility building at 2351 Walton Avenue in Fordham Heights, The Bronx. Located between East 183rd and East 184th Streets, the interior lot is one block north of the 183rd Street subway station, serviced by the 4 train. Non-profit Urban Resource Institute, a provider of homeless and domestic violence shelter services, is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits have been filed for a five-story community facility building at 101-01 113th Street in Jamaica, Queens. Located at the intersection of 103 Avenue and 113th Street, the corner lot is a couple blocks from the 111st Street subway station, serviced by the A train. Baba Makhan Shah Lobana Sikh Center is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Hudson Companies has achieved a major milestone at La Central, a 1.1-million-square-foot affordable housing development in The Bronx, where a collection of new commercial tenants will soon open shop. Tenants include a community-based café, a sit-down Mexican restaurant, a take-out pizza shop, an organic grocer, and an operator for the 135-space on-site parking garage.
A large-scale redevelopment project in Downtown Jersey City could soon begin construction following preliminary approvals from the Jersey City Council. The project is referred to as the Laurel-Saddlewood Redevelopment Plan and will replace two derelict townhouse courts with market-rate and affordable housing, a new public school, community facilities, and retail space.
