44-54 Ninth Avenue’s Renovation and Expansion Progresses in Chelsea, Manhattan

Renovation and expansion work continue on 44-54 Ninth Avenue, an eight-story office and retail building on the border of Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, and the West Village. Designed by BKSK Architects for Tavros Capital, the project consists of the restoration of a row of a landmarked townhomes and the construction of a new office volume above. Broadway Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 351-355 West 14th Street and located at the intersection of West 14th Street and Ninth Avenue.

The Greene Wraps Up Construction at 45-30 Pearson Street in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is complete on The Greene, a 21-story residential building at 45-30 Pearson Street in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by ZD Jasper, the 229-foot-tall structure yields 62,000 square feet with 130 condominium units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as ground-floor retail space and parking for 34 vehicles. Tom Wu under Davis Street Development LLC is the owner and Nest Seekers International is in charge of sales and marketing for the property, which is located off Jackson Avenue between Pearson Street and Davis Street.

Charlotte of The Upper West Side Finishes Construction at 470 Columbus Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction is complete on Charlotte of The Upper West Side, a nine-story residential building at 470 Columbus Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by The Roe Corporation, the structure was engineered to Passive House standards and yields seven full-floor condominium units with interiors designed by Alyssa Kapito Interiors and BKSK. Compass and CORE are handling sales and marketing for the property, which is located between West 82nd and 83rd Streets, just north of the American Museum of Natural History.

Foundations Underway at 45-19 Davis Street in Long Island City, Queens

Foundation work has begun at 45-19 Davis Street, the site of a 21-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Jon Yung of MY Architect PC and developed by Tom Wu under Davis Street Development LLC, the 229-foot-tall structure will yield 62,001 square feet with 82 units averaging 750 square feet, as well as 489 square feet of commercial space. Warner Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior plot bound by Pearson Street to the northeast, Jackson Avenue to the northwest, and Davis Street to the southwest.

760 Madison Avenue Reaches Street Level on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction has reached street level on 760 Madison Avenue, a 12-story mixed-use building in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by COOKFOX and developed by SL Green Realty in a collaborative partnership with Giorgio Armani Corp., the 189-foot-tall structure will yield 91,179 square feet with ten condominium units and a 19,387-square-foot Giorgio Armani flagship boutique. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Madison Avenue and East 65th Street.

Wildflower Studios’s Façade Begins Installation at 35-15 19th Avenue in Astoria, Queens

Façade installation is progressing on Wildflower Studios, a seven-story film production studio at 35-15 19th Avenue in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Wildflower LTD, a venture backed by Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro, and his son Raphael De Niro, the 145-foot-tall structure will yield 775,042 square feet with sound stages, 11 studio modules, production support areas, public and private offices, a fitness center, multiple lounges, two open-air terraces, and a 20-foot-wide public waterfront esplanade along Luyster Creek. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the $600 million project, which is being built on a 229,000-square-foot plot by the intersection of 19th Avenue and 38th Street, next to the Steinway & Sons piano warehouse.

250 East 83rd Street Rises Toward Halfway Mark on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction continues to rise on 250 East 83rd Street, a 31-story residential building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure will yield 128 residential units with interiors by Lemay_id, as well as ground-floor retail space. Cauldwell Wingate Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Exterior Work Progresses on One High Line at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Façade installation is continuing to progress on One High Line, a twisting two-tower residential development at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Witkoff Group and Access Industries, the 36- and 26-story structures will yield 900,000 square feet with 236 condominium units, a hotel component, ground-floor retail space, and a public plaza. Suffolk Construction is the general contractor, Enzo Enea is the landscape architect, and Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is alternately addressed as 76 Eleventh Avenue and stands adjacent to the High Line on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 18th Street to the north, West 17th Street to the south, Tenth Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.

606 West 30th Street’s Curtain Wall Nears Pinnacle in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Façade installation is nearing completion on 606 West 30th Street, a 42-story residential skyscraper along the border of Hudson Yards and West Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Lalezarian Properties, the 545-foot-tall structure will yield 312,350 square feet with 192,780 square feet of residential space and 14,240 square feet of commercial space on the lower levels. The project is referred to as Tower B in a two-skyscraper development along with the taller 601 West 29th Street from FXCollaborative and Douglaston Development. Hudson 37 LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Eleventh Avenue and West Street, directly across from the third phase of the High Line.

Finishing Touches Underway on 3ELEVEN at 601 West 29th Street in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Exterior work is wrapping up on 3ELEVEN, a 60-story residential skyscraper at 601 West 29th Street along the border of West Chelsea and Hudson Yards. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Douglaston Development, the 695-foot-tall structure is also known as Tower A alongside the shorter 606 West 30th Street and will yield 935 units, with 235 designated for affordable housing, as well as 15,000 square feet of retail space on the podium floors. Levine Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 311 Eleventh Avenue and bound by West 30th Street to the north, West 29th Street to the south, and Eleventh Avenue to the east. The building opened for occupancy last fall.
