Equipment has arrived at the Jersey City site of Harborside 8, a 708-foot-tall residential skyscraper on the Hudson River waterfront. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Mack Cali, the 68-story tower will be among the tallest structures in the city and the state of New Jersey upon topping out.
Curtain wall installation is closing in on the 754-foot-tall pinnacle of 537 Summit Avenue, the second and tallest skyscraper in the three-tower Journal Squared complex in Jersey City. Designed by HWKN/Hollwich Kushner and Handel Architects and developed by Kushner Real Estate Group, the buildings stand out dramatically from their isolated position west of downtown.
Work on the 41-story reinforced concrete superstructure of 184 Morgan Street, aka 331 Marin Boulevard, is now a few floors above ground and steadily rising next to the Powerhouse Arts District in Jersey City. Marchetto Higgins Stieve is the designer of the 482-unit residential building, which is set to come with 121 parking spaces, a 125-seat theater, and 14,000 square feet of amenities. The Albanese Group is the developer of the downtown property, bound by Grove Street to the west, Bay Street to the north, Marin Boulevard to the east, and Morgan Street to the south.
Work on 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City is nearly complete as finishing touches proceed on the ground floor and interiors. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by COA 99 Hudson, LLC, the 79-story, 900-foot-tall residential skyscraper is the tallest building in New Jersey. Plaza Construction is in charge of construction with Vidaris overseeing the installation of the exterior envelope. 99 Hudson Street rises from a full-block parcel bound by Hudson Street to the east, Grand Street to the south, Greene Street to the west, and York Street to the north.
Construction is progressing at 170 Erie Street, a nine-story mixed-use residential building in the Jersey City neighborhood of Hamilton Park. Designed by Studio V Architecture and developed by Silverman, the project will yield 57 residential units, 40,000 square feet of office space, 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 85 parking spots.
