Construction is nearing completion on 145 Perry Street, a four-story private residence in the West Village. Designed by Leroy Street Studio with Robert Silman Associates Structural Engineers, the 30,000-square-foot structure is alternately addressed as 703-711 Washington Street and replaces a former two-story parking garage. Sciame Construction is the construction manager for the property, which is located at the corner of Perry and Washington Streets.

Excavation and foundation work is underway at 64 University Place, the site of an 11-story residential building in Greenwich Village. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Bsafal, the 125-foot-tall, 55,000-square-foot structure will yield 28 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the The Eklund ǀ Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, as well as a community facility and ground-floor retail space. SPACE Copenhagen is the interior designer, Deborah Nevins is the landscape designer, and CNY Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 10th and East 11th Streets. Ancora Enginerring is the SOE and foundations  engineer and McNamara Salvia is the structural engineer.


155-165 West 29th Street Tops Out in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on 155-165 West 29th Street, a 17-story self-storage facility in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Mancini Duffy and developed by Highland Development Ventures and The Davis Companies, the 223-foot-tall structure will yield 180,000 square feet with 6,300 storage units. Cauldwell Wingate is the general contractor and McNamara Salvia is the structural engineer for the property, which is located between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.

Demolition work is wrapping up at 25-01 Queens Plaza North, the site of a 26-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Developed by Grubb Properties, the 311-foot-tall structure will yield 417 units with 124 dedicated to affordable housing, and 7,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space. 25-01 QPN Consigli Construction is the general contractor and King Contracting Group is installing all the brick and CMU for the property, which is located between Crescent and 27th Streets, directly adjacent to the elevated Queensboro Plaza station servicing the 7, N, and W trains.

Work is progressing below grade at 228 Berry Street, the site of an eight-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Fischer Rasmussen Whitefield Architect and developed by Berry North LLC, the 85-foot-tall structure will yield 35,329 square feet with 50 rental units spread across 34,825 square feet and 504 square feet of retail space. There will also be a cellar level, 25 enclosed parking spaces, and 25 open-air parking spaces. Bluesy Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by North 1st Street to the north, and Grand Street to the south, and Berry Street to the east.
