Excavation Continues for 262 Fifth Avenue Supertall in NoMad, Manhattan

Excavation is continuing at 262 Fifth Avenue, the site of a 1,043-foot residential supertall skyscraper in NoMad. Designed by Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project, LLC, the 60-story tower will yield 41 residential units spread across 139,168 square feet and 10,850 square feet of retail space on the first two floors. CM & Associates Construction Management, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

Foundations Underway at 308 West 43rd Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Foundation work has begun at 308 West 43rd Street, the site of a two-building residential development in MidtownManhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Taconic Partners under the 311 West 42nd Street Associates LLC, the 373,133-square-foot project will yield 321 apartments averaging 839 square feet apiece as well as 25,202 square feet of retail space on the lower floors. Triton Construction is serving as the general contractor for the property, which is located between West 42nd and 43rd Streets and Eighth and Ninth Avenues, directly north of the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Gansevoort Peninsula Park Progresses Along West Village Waterfront, Manhattan

Construction is progressing on Gansevoort Peninsula Park, a new 5.5-acre public recreational space on the Hudson River waterfront in the West Village. Designed by James Corner Field Operations, which was commissioned by the Hudson River Park Trust in January 2019, the upcoming green space is located next to Pier 53 directly across from the Whitney Museum of American Art, and will feature Manhattan’s first public beach.

Construction is nearing the halfway mark on H Hotel W39, a 28-story hotel tower at 58 West 39th Street in Midtown. Designed by Peter F. Poon Architects and developed by Wei Hong Hu of H Hotel LLC, the 447-foot-tall structure will yield 65 rooms spread over 41,500 square feet along with meeting rooms and a fitness center. City Cross Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a narrow plot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, just one block below Bryant Park.
