Flatiron House At 39 West 23rd Street Launches Sales, Nears Completion, In Flatiron District, Manhattan

NYC-based real estate development firm Anbau, together with Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, today announced the launch of sales at Flatiron House, a new luxury condominium located at 39 West 23rd Street. With architecture and interiors by COOKFOX Architects, a leader in biophilic design, the development comprises two distinct buildings connected by a shared interior garden with a total of 44 residences. The Tower features 37 one-to four-bedroom residences with a separate entrance on 23rd Street, while the Loft offers a collection of seven one- to five-bedroom residences and an entrance on 24th Street, many of which are full-floors with direct elevator entry.

New Renderings Reveal Updated Design For Norman Foster’s Two World Trade Center, In Financial District

New renderings have been spotted for Two World Trade Center, the final component of the 16-acre World Trade Center complex at 200 Greenwich Street in the Financial District. Designed by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and developed by Silverstein Properties, the commercial supertall will rise from a foundation built in the early 2010s before work stalled on the initial iteration of the tower. The full-block parcel is bound by Greenwich Street to the west, Vesey Street to the north, Church Street to the east, and Fulton Street to the south. The site is currently being used as a secondary entrance to the PATH trains and subway lines and the Westfield World Trade Center mall within Santiago Calatrava Architects‘ Oculus, and an outdoor beer garden along Church Street surrounded by colorful commissioned murals on the corrugated metal and exposed ventilation ducts.

52 Fourth Avenue Readies for Excavation in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn

Excavation work is set to begin at 52 Fourth Avenue, the site of a nine-story residential building in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Gertler & Wente Architects and developed by Metropolitan Realty Exemptions under the RJ 4th Avenue LLC, the 55,000-square-foot structure will yield 52 rental apartments averaging 775 square feet apiece, as well as a cellar and ground-floor retail space. It was last reported that the units will come in a mix of one- and two-bedroom layouts and a select number of apartments will have their own private outdoor spaces. There will be four penthouses on the upper levels, each with its own outdoor space. Real Land Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Dean Street and Fourth Avenue.

PENN 2’s Re-cladding Progresses at Two Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan

Renovation work continues to progress on PENN 2, a 31-story commercial building at Two Penn Plaza in Midtown. Designed by MdeAS Architects and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the project involves the replacement of the 53-year-old structure’s façade with a modern glass curtain wall. The 412-foot-tall, 1.61 million-square-foot tower was originally designed by Charles Luckman Associates and stands along Seventh Avenue between West 31st and 33rd Streets. PENN 2 is immediately to the east of Madison Square Garden and is one component within the Penn District revitalization scheme that calls for the construction and redevelopment of several buildings surrounding Penn Station in the coming years. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the project.

Pilings and Excavation Underway at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Excavation and piling work is underway at 29 Jay Street, the site of an 11-story commercial building in the DUMBO Historic District of Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jay Street Office LLC, the 150-foot-tall building will yield office space at the corner of Jay and Plymouth Streets. Sciame Construction LLC is the general contractor for the project.
