456 Greenwich Street’s Red Brick Exterior Nears Completion in Tribeca, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on 456 Greenwich Street, an eight-story hotel building in Tribeca. Designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group with Martin Brudnizki Design Studio as the interior designer and developed by Caspi Development, the 94,000-square-foot structure will yield 96 guest rooms operated by Groupe Lucien Barrière of the Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor of the edifice, which is bound by Greenwich Street to the east, Desbrosses Street to the south, and Washington Street to the west.

Olympia’s Façade Installation Continues at 30 Front Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Exterior work is progressing on Olympia, a 26-story residential building at 30 Front Street in DUMBOBrooklyn. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Fortis Property Group with Workstead leading the interior design, the 401-foot-tall structure will yield 76 condominiums marketed by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the Eklund Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman and Karen Heyman at Sotheby’s. Urban Atelier Group is managing construction, Manhattan Concrete created the reinforced concrete superstructure, and King Contacting Group is in charge of the CMU work, exterior insulation finish systems, and roofing for the project, which is bound by Front Street to the north, Washington Street to the east, and York Street to the south.

Charlotte Of The Upper West Side Nears Completion at 470 Columbus Avenue

Exterior work is closing in on completion on Charlotte Of The Upper West Side, a nine-story condominium building at 470 Columbus Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by The Roe Corporation, the structure is engineered to meet eco-friendly standards set by the German-based Passive House Institute, which is known to reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling by up to 90 percent. Alyssa Kapito Interiors and BKSK both designed the interiors and Hudson Meridian Construction Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located between West 82nd and 83rd Streets just north of the American Museum of Natural History.

American Natural History Museum’s Expansion Tops Out on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction has topped out on The Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation at the American Museum of Natural History, a 230,000-square-foot addition to the institution at 415 Columbus Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang with Tishman Construction Company of New York as the general contractor, the organic-looking, amorphous structure is progressing near the corner of Columbus Avenue and West 79th Street and is surrounded by an abundance of landscaping and tall trees. The project is projected to cost around $383 million and is aiming for LEED Gold certification.

2551-2555 Broadway’s Stone Façade Begins Installation, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Façade installation is progressing on 2551-2555 Broadway, a 22-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group and developed by Extell, the 276,578-square-foot reinforced concrete structure will yield 130 residential units averaging 1,660 square feet apiece, as well as 9,080 square feet of commercial space. Leeding Builders Group, LLC is the general contractor and Paragon JV Prop. III, LLC is the owner of the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 96th Street.
