Updated And Additional Renderings For Foster + Partner’s 1,270-Foot Supertall ‘Penn 15’ Spotted, In Midtown, Manhattan

YIMBY spotted a series of new and updated interior and exterior renderings by DBOX of Penn 15, a massive 1,270-foot supertall designed by Foster + Partners at 15 Penn Plaza. The mammoth 2.8 million-square-foot, 57-story office project is being developed by Vornado Realty Trust and is part of the much larger 7.4 million-square-foot Penn District master plan in Midtown, Manhattan. The redevelopment aims to transform and revitalize the area between Sixth and Seventh Avenues and West 32nd and West 34th Streets with a total of eight new buildings. All of which would surround the 109-year-old James A. Farley Building and Skidmore Owings & Merrill‘s newly opened Moynihan Train Hall, as well as One and Two Penn Plaza and Madison Square Garden, which itself has also seen grandiose proposals to be re-imagined.

611 West 56th Street Nears Completion In Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing the finish line on 611 West 56th Street, aka 823 Eleventh Avenue, a 450-foot-tall condominium tower in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza with SLCE as the architect of record and developed by Sumaida + Khurana and LENY, the slender reinforced concrete structure will yield 80 residential units designed by Gabellini Sheppard Associates. Foundations Group is the general contractor for the Midtown, Manhattan project, which rises on a corner lot at the intersection of West 56th Street and Eleventh Avenue.

YIMBY went to check out the views from the 44th floor of the 475-foot-tall 52-41 Center Boulevard, the shorter building in ODA Architects‘ two-tower complex in Hunters PointQueens. Its sibling is the 587-foot-tall 52-03 Center Boulevard to the north. Both edifices rise along the East River waterfront on a parcel bound by Center Boulevard to the west, Borden Avenue to the north, 2nd Street to the east, and 54th Avenue to the south. SLCE Architects served as the architect of record for the 46- and 56-story mixed-use towers that are part of TF Cornerstone‘s Hunters Point South development.

Park House Nears Completion at 500 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on Park House, an eight-story residential building at 500 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Alternately addressed as 197 Tenth Avenue, the 33,662-square-foot structure is designed by Annabelle Selldorf of Selldorf Architects for Brantwood Capital and will yield ten residential units and 1,959 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Compass is handling sales and marketing for the homes, which range from one- to four-bedroom units and two duplex penthouses, with pricing from $2.65 million to $12 million. The corner property is located at the intersection of Tenth Avenue and West 22nd Street, a short distance from the High Line. Foundations Group is the general contractor.

Façade work is nearing completion on The Cortland, a 26-story condominium building designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects at 555 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Developed by Related Companies with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the nearly 300-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure will yield 141 residential units spread over 250,000 square feet, for an average of 2,245 square feet. The building rises along West Street and the Hudson River waterfront between West 22nd and West 23rd Streets.
