173-175 Chrystie Street Progresses Behind Scaffolding on Manhattan’s Lower East Side

Work is progressing behind scaffolding on 173-175 Chrsytie Street, a topped-out ten-story residential building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by ODA Architects and developed by Nexus Building Development Group, Inc., the 25,500-square-foot-structure will yield 13 units ranging from two- to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 1,537 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The structure stands opposite Sara D. Roosevelt Park and immediately to the north of two other current residential buildings from the same design and development team, 167 Chrystie Street and 165 Chrystie Street.

Construction on 555 Greenwich Street Nears Street Level in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Foundation work is progressing on 555 Greenwich Street, a 16-story office building in Hudson Square. Formerly addressed as 561 Greenwich Street, the structure will yield 270,000 square feet and will connect on nearly every floor with the adjacent 345 Hudson Street. The project is designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by the joint venture Hudson Square Properties, which includes Trinity Church Wall Street, Norges Bank Investment Management, and Hines, and is planned to debut as one of the city’s most sustainable buildings.

Zero Irving Nears Completion at 124 East 14th Street in Union Square, Manhattan

Work is nearing completion on Zero Irving, a 21-story mixed-use building at 124 East 14th Street in Union Square. Designed by Davis Brody Bond and developed by RAL Development, as well as financial partners Junius Real Estate Partners and Suffolk Construction, the 176,000-square-foot edifice stands topped out and will open as an affordable and market-rate office building for technology firms with a range of amenities. Zero Irving is located along East 14th Street between Broadway to the west and Third Avenue to the east. Leasing is now underway with JLL as the exclusive marketing agent.

Stevens Institute Of Technology’s Expansion Nears Completion In Hoboken, New Jersey

Construction is almost complete on Stevens Institute of Technology‘s new two-tower Student Housing and University Center in HobokenNew Jersey. Designed by Design Collective and Wallace Roberts and Todd, the 392,000-square-foot structure is comprised of 16- and 18-story towers rising from a 70,000-square-foot podium, and is the largest expansion in the institute’s history. The new building will accommodate 994 students, bringing Stevens’ cumulative resident capacity up to 3,500. The project is located along the Hudson River waterfront and is expected to cost $256 million.

Construction is complete on 40 Bleecker Street, a 12-story residential building at the corner of Mulberry and Bleecker Streets in NoHo. Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Broad Street Development, the property yields 61 one- to five-bedroom units with interiors designed by Ryan Korban. Sales and marketing are being led by Fredrik Eklund of Million Dollar Listing: New York fame, as well as John Gomes and Sarah Burke of Douglas Elliman Development MarketingEdmund Hollander Design is carrying out the landscaping for the private outdoor terraces and the 5,600-square-foot rear courtyard.
