SLCE Architects’ One Boerum Place Tops Out In Downtown Brooklyn

One Boerum Place has topped out in Downtown Brooklyn. The slim reinforced concrete superstructure recently reached its 21-story parapet, and work is now shifting to the installation of its brick masonry façade. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Avery Hall InvestmentsAllegra Holdings, and Aria Development Group, the residential building sits on a narrow plot of land bound by Boerum Place, Red Hook Lane, and Fulton Street. The project is expected to cost around $250 million.

Construction at 27-49 Jackson Avenue Halted at Halfway Mark in Long Island City, Queens

A stop work order has been placed on 27-49 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens, halting construction around the halfway mark of the 146-foot-tall residential building. Upon inspection, it appears that progress on the 4,000-square-foot plot has been stagnant for quite some time. Designed by Raymond Chan Architect and developed by ARCFE, the structure began construction in the summer of 2018 and steadily continued to ascend until last fall. The 14-story building will eventually contain 9,873 of residential space split among 37 homes, as well as 1,739 square feet of commercial space. iX Construction is the general contractor.

Construction nears completion at 22-44 Jackson Avenue in Long Island CityQueens, a two-tower residential development on the plot of the famous 5Pointz graffiti warehouse. The 1.21-million-square-foot complex is designed by HTO Architects and developed by G&M Realty. Mojo Stumer Associates is designing the buildings’ interiors, which will feature artistic homages to the site’s past.

TF Conerstone’s Hunters Point South Towers Continue To Rise In Hunters Point, Queens

Construction is approaching the final floors at 52-41 Center Boulevard, a 475-foot-tall residential tower in the Hunters Point South Towers development in Hunters PointQueens. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by TF Cornerstone with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the 46-story, 394-unit structure stands to the south of its rising sibling, 52-03 Center Boulevard, which will eventually stand 56 stories and 587 feet tall.
