Excavation and Foundation Work Underway at 323 East 61st Street on the Upper East Side

Excavation and work on the foundation walls is underway at 323 East 61st Street on the Upper East Side, where a new six-story community facility is set to rise. Located a couple blocks away from the Queensboro Bridge, the building will stand 74 feet tall and yield 61,740 square feet, with 49,750 square feet dedicated to community facilities. The structure is designed by Daniel Goldner Architects, while LaSalle Investment Management and William Macklowe Company are the owners. Memorial Sloan Kettering is leasing all the space.

Journal Squared’s Next 72-Story Skyscraper Set to Eclipse 53-Story Sibling, in Jersey City

The second tower of the Journal Squared complex, aka 537 Summit Avenue, is rising rapidly and will soon surpass the adjacent 574-foot-tall, 53-story building, which was the first completed segment of the upcoming trio of residential skyscrapers. The Jersey City property is designed by HWKN/Hollwich Kushner and Handel Architects and developed by Kushner Real Estate Development. The second phase of Journal Squared will rise 759 feet, yield 700 units, 18,000 square feet of retail space, and feature a gross floor space of roughly 1,000,000 square feet.

388-390 Greenwich Street’s Curtain Wall Makeover Nearly Complete in Tribeca

The installation of new glass curtain walls on the lower levels of 388 Greenwich Street and its annex at 390 Greenwich Street is almost complete. The taller, 39-story office building rises above the Tribeca waterfront across from Pier 25 and Pier 26. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the 14-story-high glass envelope, while Gensler is leading the interior renovations in both structures.

Curtain Wall Nears Completion on 99 Hudson Street, Jersey City’s Tallest Skyscraper

Façade work is nearing completion at 99 Hudson Street, the tallest skyscraper in New Jersey. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by China Overseas America, the topped-out 900-foot-tall residential tower soars prominently above the Jersey City skyline. Plaza Construction is in charge of building the 79-story project and Vidaris is overseeing the exterior envelope, which is getting close to wrapping up. Assembly of the glass crown and installation of the Jura limestone curtain wall on the lower levels are the only components remaining.

77 Greenwich Street’s Façade Climbing Quickly Above the Financial District

The glass curtain wall is rising quickly on 77 Greenwich Street, a mixed-use residential project in the Financial District. FXCollaborative is the designer and Trinity Place Holdings is the developer of the 500-foot-tall reinforced concrete skyscraper, which is topped out at 42 stories. The project will feature 90 condominiums ranging from one- to four-bedroom layouts with interiors by Deborah Berke Partners.
