Excavation Begins at 22 Chapel Street in Downtown Brooklyn

Excavation work is getting started at 22 Chapel Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The ground-up, 20-story rental complex is designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Delshah Capital and OTL Enterprises. The superstructure will rise 211 feet high above Flatbush Avenue and sit between Chapel Street and Cathedral Place. A total of 133,181 square feet of residential space will be created and spread among 180 units.

Rusticated Steel Fins Installed as 25 Great Jones Street Nears Completion in NoHo

Construction of the curtain wall of 25 Great Jones Street, aka 22 Bond Street, is moving swiftly. The thin steel fins that run vertically down the length of the main elevation in front of the floor-to-ceiling glass panels have been installed. Located in NoHo between Great Jones Street and Bond Street, the 11-story condominium building is designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Second Development Services and Richport Group. The structure will contain six units with prices starting at $9.8 million, and will include a penthouse that reportedly spans about 4,000 square feet.

Gene Kaufman’s 120 Water Street Gets off the Ground in Financial District

The first several floors have been constructed for the new Hotel Indigo at 120 Water Street in the Financial District. The ground-up project is designed by Gene Kaufman Architects and developed by Atlas Development. Fortuna Realty Group will serve as hotel management. The slim building will rise 28 stories between Wall Street and the East River, and will yield 52,000 square feet with 128 rooms, a cellar-level fitness center, a ground-floor restaurant, and a 25th-floor venue space. The project broke ground in 2017 and progress has been slow until recently.
