Landmarks Approves New Apartment Building At 906 Prospect Place, Crown Heights

It was back in October of 2014 that YIMBY reported on developer Jeffrey Gershon acquiring the property at 906 Prospect Place in Brooklyn. It was in late November of 2015 that his design team went before the Landmarks Preservation Commission with their proposal for a new apartment building on the site. On Tuesday of this week, the team went back before the LPC and got approval for their revised design.

Four-Story, Seven-Unit Residential Project Filed At 89 Schenectady Avenue, Crown Heights

Brooklyn-based Deutsch Equity, headed by Joseph Deutsch, has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 89 Schenectady Avenue, in eastern Crown Heights, located four blocks away from the Utica Avenue stop on the A and C trains. The 6,170-square-foot project will boast 4,599 square feet in residential space, which means units will average a rental-sized 657 square apiece. It will also feature a rooftop terrace. Brooklyn-based Oleg Ruditser is the applicant of record. The 4,000 square-foot Imani Community Garden currently occupies 89 Schenectady, as well as other adjacent lots.

Four-Story, Seven-Unit Residential Project Planned At 105 Schenectady Avenue, Crown Heights

Arbie Development has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 105 Schenectady Avenue, in eastern Crown Heights, located five blocks away from the Utica Avenue stop on the A and C trains. The structure will measure 6,861 square feet in total and residential units will spread across 4,978 square feet, which means units will average a rental-sized 711 square feet each. One of the units on the fourth floor will feature a fifth-floor penthouse. Forest Hills-based ARC Architecture + Design Studio is the architect of record and an existing three-story townhouse must first be demolished.

Four-Story, Nine-Unit Residential Building Filed At 233 Buffalo Avenue, Crown Heights

JIH Builders Group has filed applications for a four-story, nine-unit residential building at 233 Buffalo Avenue, on the eastern end of Crown Heights, located six blocks from the Crown Heights – Utica Avenue stop on the 3, 4, and 5 trains. The project will measure 8,906 square feet in total and will have 6,075 square feet of residential space, which means units will average a rental-sized 675 square feet apiece. Rego Park-based Diego Aguilera Architects is the applicant of record. An existing two-story building must first be demolished.
