Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Project Planned At 1545 Bergen Street, Crown Heights

Brooklyn-based Ofer Prager has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 1545 Bergen Street, in eastern Crown Heights. That’s five blocks south of the A and C trains’ stop at Utica Avenue. The building will measure 5,838 square feet in total, which means units will average 730 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. One of the fourth-floor units will also feature a fifth-floor penthouse. Arc Architecture + Design Studio is the architect of record. A recessed two-story house must first be demolished.


681 Franklin Avenue

Reveal For Six-Story, Eight-Unit Residential & Retail Building At 681 Franklin Avenue, Crown Heights

In the last few days of 2014, YIMBY reported on applications to construct a four-story, eight-unit mixed-use building at 681 Franklin Avenue, in northwestern Crown Heights, six blocks from the Franklin Avenue stop on the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains. Now, Curbed and DNAinfo have renderings for various versions of the project. The building will actually appear as six stories and stand 60 feet tall, thanks to two mezzanine levels which weren’t included in the previous floor count. The building will also include 2,134 square feet of ground-floor retail space.



1511 Pacific Street

Four-Story, Two-Unit Townhouse Planned At 1511 Pacific Street, Crown Heights

Yaniv Shalom, president of Hillside Development, has filed applications for a four-story, two-unit residential townhouse at 1511 Pacific Street, in northern Crown Heights, three blocks south of the C train’s stop at Kingston Avenue. The building will measure 2,176 square feet and span just 16 feet across the vacant lot. One residence will occupy the bottom two floors while the second unit spans the top remaining space, with each unit averaging 1,088 square feet. Jamaica-based Banji Awosika Architect is the applicant of record.
