Glass Regresses From One Seaport’s Allegedly Leaning Concrete Frame, in the Financial District

It appears that exterior progress has taken a step backward on Seaport Residences, a 60-story residential skyscraper formerly known as One Seaport at 161 Maiden Lane in the Financial District. Located on the border of the South Street Seaport District, the 200,000-square-foot building is designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Fortis Property Group LLC, with Ray Builders serving as the contractor. Groves & Co is the interior designer for the 80 units, which are being managed by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing.

SHoP Architects‘ 1,428-foot-high residential supertall at 111 West 57th Street is getting closer to the finish line. Developed by JDS DevelopmentProperty Markets Group, and Spruce Capital Partners, the Billionaires’ Row skyscraper stands as the world’s most slender building with a height-to-width ratio of 24:1. The Midtown structure is also the second-tallest building in the city by roof height, and the third-tallest by architectural height behind the 1,776-foot-tall One World Trade Center and the 1,550-foot-tall Central Park Tower.

The Dime Nears Completion at 209 Havemeyer Street in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on The Dime, a 22-story mixed-use building at 209 Havemeyer Street in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 275 South 5th Street, the structure is designed by Fogarty Finger Architecture and is being developed by Charney Companies and Tavros Holdings. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling all leasing for the 177 rental units, which launched in May. Grain Collective is the landscape architect and 1 Oak Contracting is the general contractor for the project.
