Revised Design for Anthology Film Archives Expansion, 32 Second Avenue, East Village

The existing building at 32 Second Avenue has stood on the corner of East 2nd Street since 1919, before being purchased and refurbished for Anthology Film Archives in 1979. Those revisions were designed by architects Raimund Abraham and Kevin Bone, and now Bone’s firm Bone/Levine Architects has submitted plans for a larger revision and expansion to the Landmarks Preservation Commission, which YIMBY can now reveal.

New Design Revealed for Eight-Story, 22-Unit Mixed-Use Project at 75 First Avenue, East Village

New renderings have been revealed of the redesigned eight-story, 22-unit mixed-use project under development at 75 First Avenue, located between East Fourth and Fifth streets in the East Village. The project’s developer, Colonnade Group, is expecting the building’s condominiums to sell for a combined $42 million, The Real Deal reported. The latest building permits indicate the structure will encompass 30,058 square feet and rise 80 feet to its main roof.

Excavation Work Underway For 12-Story, 110-Unit Mixed-Use Project At 79 Avenue D, East Village

Excavation work is underway on the site of a planned 12-story, 110-unit mixed-use building at 79 Avenue D, in the Alphabet City section of the East Village. The developer, L+M Development Partners, has also secured $52.8 million in construction financing. The latest building permits indicate the project will encompass 114,422 square feet and rise 120 feet above street level, not including the bulkhead.
