Hotels are flocking to North Brooklyn’s industrial zone, but yesterday YIMBY noticed an unusual filing for a new artist studio building at 58 Grattan Street between Morgan and Knickerbocker Avenues in East Williamsburg.
Toby Moskovitz’s Heritage Equity Partners is planning a 10-story, 144-key hotel at 232 Siegel Street in East Williasmburg, near the Morgan L stop.
All Year Management has filed applications for a seven-story, 112-key hotel spanning 69-85 White Street, in East Williamsburg. The building will technically be an expansion of the existing single-story warehouse, and the project will measure 79,365 square feet. ODA Architecture is designing, and the developer acquired the warehouse for $9.4 million late last year.
YIMBY has snagged a rendering for a small affordable housing development at 7 Stagg Street, between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street, in Williamsburg.
Normandy Real Estate Partners and Princeton Holdings LLC have acquired the 160,000 square-foot low-rise industrial property at 333 Johnson Avenue in East Williamsburg for $26.75 million. The complex will be converted into a mixed-use commercial complex, featuring offices and retail. DNAinfo also reports the inclusion of a 40,000 square feet of outdoor space, and completion is expected in early 2016.
