111 Murray Street’s Public Plaza Nears Completion in Tribeca

The plaza at the base of 111 Murray Street is getting close to completion in Tribeca. The 10,000-square-foot public park sits to the east of the main entrance of the 792-foot-tall residential skyscraper, which was completed in 2018. The 64-story glass tower is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Hill West Architects. Witkoff Group and Fisher Brothers are the two developes. Plaza Construction is the main contractor and DeSimone is the structural engineer, and marketing and sales for the residential units are being handled by Douglas Elliman.

40 Bleecker Street’s Curtain Wall and Rounded Corners Emerge From The Exterior Scaffolding, in NoHo

40 Bleecker Street‘s detailed curtain wall is finally being unveiled from behind the black netting and scaffolding. The rounded glass and brick corners and subtle appointments between the floor-to ceiling windows can now be appreciated from street level. The façade consists of large windows vertically grouped in two-story pairs among a tight narrow grid across the wide western elevation facing Mulberry Street and the shorter northern profile along Bleecker Street. The 12-story residential building in NoHo is designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Broad Street Development, and will include a total of 61 one- to five-bedroom units.

YIMBY recently went on a hard-hat tour of Jeanne Gang’s 620-foot-tall, 57-story skyscraper at 11 Hoyt Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The wavy, rippling precast façade has reached the flat roof parapet, while work on the podium and lower floors is headed toward completion. Tishman Speyer is the developer and Hill West is the architect of record for the Studio Gang-designed residential project. Edmund Hollander of Hollander Design is in charge of landscaping for the outdoor green space above the motor courtyard and podium section.

40 Bleecker Street’s Brick Curtain Wall Discreetly Rising Behind Scaffolding in NoHo

Installation of 40 Bleecker Street‘s warm-colored brick façade has begun behind the black construction netting and scaffolding that cover the NoHo property. Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Broad Street Development, the 12-story residential building topped out in early 2019. Ryan Korban is the interior designer of the development’s 61 units, and Edmund Hollander Design is the landscape architect. A mix of one- to five-bedroom homes will come with the project. Fredrik Eklund of Bravo TV show Million Dollar Listing New York, John Gomes, and Sarah Burke are on the Douglas Elliman Development Marketing team in charge of sales and marketing.
