Permits have been filed for a five-story public school at 45 Waverly Place in Clifton, Staten Island. The site is five blocks away from the Sobel Court Park, and eight blocks away from the Stapleton public playground. The NYC School Construction Authority will be responsible for the development.
Permits were first filed for a mixed-use building by King’s USA Group at 70-40 45th Avenue in Elmhurst, Queens back in 2016. Now, new applications show a major update. The site is located along the major residential Queens Boulevard thoroughfare. Eight blocks away is the Roosevelt Avenue subway station, serviced by the 7, E, F, M, and R trains.
Permits have been filed for a four-story public school facility at 922 78th Street in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. The development, positioned in a heavily residential neighborhood, will better suit the existing PS 127 for a rising student population. The building is sixteen blocks away from the Fort Hamilton subway station, serviced by N, Q, and W trains. The NYC School Construction Authority is responsible for the applications.
The debate regarding 80 Flatbush Avenue continues. While the project would rise across the street from what had long been Brooklyn’s tallest tower at One Hanson Place, its opponents’ attacks have escalated following YIMBY’s report on a poll showing a 3:1 margin of support, with the NIMBY group behind its creation and deletion accusing “foreign bots” of meddling in the outcome. Today, however, comes another marker of broad community support, as we have word that the Arab American Family Support Center (AAFSC) has officially endorsed the mixed-use development.
Permits have been filed for a 46-story mixed-use high rise along Queens’ East River waterfront, overlooking Manhattan. The structure will rise at 52-41 Center Boulevard, in the Hunters Point neighborhood. The project is part of TF Cornerstone’s Hunters Point South Towers, and will be the shorter of two new skyscrapers.
