Extell’s 50 West 66th Street Set for Resumption of Construction on the Upper West Side

Construction is set to resume at 50 West 66th Street, the soon-to-be tallest skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Progress had been stalled on the 775-foot-tall residential tower until recently, when a joint venture was formed between Extell Development Company and global investment entity Tennor Holding B.V. to complete the project. Snøhetta is the designer of the 69-story structure, which will eventually eclipse the parapet of the neighborhood’s current title-holding skyscraper, 200 Amsterdam Avenue.

The Hard Rock Hotel’s glass curtain wall is closing in on the final floors of the 35-story project at 159 West 48th Street in Times Square. Developed by Extell and Hard Rock International, the structure made incredible progress over the past few months, reaching its 442-foot-tall parapet in the blink of an eye. The 291,000-square-foot development will contain 446 guest rooms, two entertainment venues, flexible meeting spaces, round-the-clock dining options, a fitness center, and a rooftop lounge. Extell Partners With Tennor Holding to Complete 50 West 66th Street, the Upper West Side’s Tallest Skyscraper

Extell Development Company has announced a major joint venture with global investment entity Tennor Holding B.V. to complete 50 West 66th Street, a 775-foot-tall residential skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. When finished, the building will wrest the title of tallest building in the neighborhood from 200 Amsterdam Avenue.
