Located between Ocean Promenade and Rockaway Beach Boulevard, the interior lot is one block south of the Rockaway Park-Beach 116 Street subway station, serviced by the A and S trains. Matthew Safos of Shelter Realty Corp is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The 42,758-square foot lot is located at the intersection of Central Avenue and Nameoke Street. The proposed scope for the new project is around 195,000 square feet. The site is close to the Far Rockaway – Mott Avenue subway station at the end of the A line. Ericka Keller-Wala of Brisa MPB Community Square LLC is listed as the owner of the site. Paul Castrucci Architect is listed as the designer, while William Vitacco Associates, LTD filed the permits.
International architecture firm Snøhetta has revealed designs for a new 17,500 square foot library in Far Rockaway, Queens. Located at 1637 Central Avenue, the two-story building will more than double usable area of the existing public library.
