Monadnock To Develop 208-Unit Mixed-Use Building at 133-45 41st Avenue, Flushing

Per Crain’s Business, the City has picked Monadnock Development to develop a mid-rise 208-unit all-affordable mixed-use building at the vacant lot of 133-45 41st Avenue, in Downtown Flushing; the de Blasio administration has made an effort to redevelop that specific underutilized lot. The project is being dubbed One Flushing, and retail and community space is planned for the ground floor; Bernheimer Architecture is designing.


146-51 Beech Avenue

Two-Family Building Planned for 146-51 Beech Avenue in Flushing

The property owner of 146-51 Beech Avenue, in the western half of East Flushing, has filed applications for a two-story, two-unit residential building measuring 1,950 square feet. Yu Lei Pan, of G. Plan Design & Consulting Inc., is the architect of record, and that portion of the lot is currently vacant.

The commercially zoned no man’s land around Flushing Meadows Park and Willets Point has seen a big uptick in development, as longtime property owners prepare for the planned $3 billion redevelopment of the auto body shops next to Citi Field. New building applications were filed today for two properties nearby at 131-10 and 132-32 Avery Avenue, just east of Flushing Meadows Park between 131st Street and College Point Boulevard.
