Permits have been filed for a single-story community facility building at 2000 Shore Parkway in Gravesend, Brooklyn. The structure will include office space, a maintenance shop, and equipment storage space for the benefit of nearby gardens, sports fields, and playgrounds. A portion will serve as a public comfort station, and district headquarters for the department. It will be located in Calvert Vaux Park, an athletics, leisure, and nature-spotting destination that borders with Coney Island.
Brooklyn-based Jonico Construction & Development has filed applications for a second three-story, three-unit residential building at 2272-2276 82nd Street, in northern Gravesend. The first building, also a three-story, three-unit structure, was initially filed in October, YIMBY reported. Both buildings will measure 4,986 square feet each. Across both, the full-floor apartments should average 1,247 square feet apiece, indicative of family-sized units. Brooklyn-based Design Studio Associates is the architect of record. The 60-foot-wide, 6,000-square-foot site’s three-story house was demolished in November.
Armout International Inc. has filed applications for a seven-story, 14-unit mixed-use building at 331 Avenue U, in Gravesend. The project will measure 16,249 square feet and rise 78 feet above street level. There will be 1,320 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, followed by 14 residential units across the second through seventh floors. The apartments should average 1,186 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. Shlomo Wygoda’s TriBeCa-based SWA Architecture is the architect of record. The 60-foot-wide, 6,000-square-foot site is vacant.
An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications to renovate and expand the two-story, two-family house at 2019 West 6th Street, in Gravesend. The project would also build two new three-story, two-family residential buildings on either side of the existing structure, at 2017 West 6th Street and 2021 West 6th Street, respectively. The existing house will see its residential space increase to 2,425 square feet, while the two new buildings will each measure 3,388 square feet. Across all three buildings, the apartments should average a family-sized 1,251 square feet apiece. Two single-car, 300-square-foot garages will also be built. Pirooz Soltanizadeh’s Jamaica-based Royal Engineering is the applicant of record.
